Although I was born and raised in Vancouver, you may or may not know that I have spent the last year living in Montreal (more details on this soon!) It may sound cliché, but coming back after being away has made me realize just HOW beautiful and amazing Vancouver really is. Last week, I got to play tourist in my own city! It was so fun and exciting to re-discover Vancouver, and I can’t wait to continue exploring more of this great city now that I’m back.
Obviously, I needed the perfect outfit for my day touring Vancouver… so naturally, I channelled my inner Dora for all of the exploring. Starting from the ground up, I opted for the ever-popular “dad sneaker” trend. I picked up a pair at Aldo that I absolutely LOVE. The white and grey combo is super fresh, and of course I love the chunky sole. Not to mention, they are honestly so comfortable… I can totally vouch for this after spending a whole day walking around the city in them! I kept the look casual by styling my dad sneakers with my mom’s old Levi’s from the 80’s (I know…) and a simple white hoodie, with some pink accessories to top it off. This look was perfect for a full day of embracing the classic Vancouver lifestyle!
Here’s what I got up to for a typical day in Vancouver:
Morning coffee at Purebread
Walk along the seawall to Granville Island
Explored the market and shops at Granville Island
Grabbed a Car2Go to get to lunch
Tacos at La Taqueria
Happy Hour at 33 Acres Brewing
Walked the Cambie Street Bridge to a Concert at the Commodore Ballroom
Thanks for following along!
**Thank you to Aldo for gifting these amazing sneakers!
